The head of security for Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, has declared that government workers in the region will receive an additional month’s salary as a bonus.
The leader made this statement on Tuesday at the Dinner and Awards Evening organized in Asaba as part of events celebrating the 2026 Public Service Week.
The declaration generated enthusiasm among government employees and additional attendees, who cheered the choice.
Oborevwori stated that the incentive was awarded as acknowledgment for the employees' dedication, efforts, and roles in advancing and promoting the state's progress.
He mentioned that the authorization is anticipated to enhance employees' well-being and raise spirits throughout the state government workforce.
By making this choice, Oborevwori marks history as the first leader of Delta State to grant a 13th-month salary incentive to government workers.
