President Meets Sindh and Balochistan Chief Ministers on Inter-Provincial Issues

July 2 - In Karachi, Sindh's Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Balochistan's Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti met with President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday.

At the gathering, topics concerning cross-province matters with involvement from the national administration, along with areas of shared concern, were addressed. The President highlighted that enhanced collaboration between provinces would better support initiatives aimed at tackling community problems and maintaining national stability.

On Wednesday, PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Faryal Talpur, who oversees political affairs for the PPP in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), met with top leaders of the party at Zardari House in Islamabad. This was done to assess the current political scenario in the area and wrap up arrangements for the forthcoming AJK general election campaign, as stated by the party. During this session, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Faryal Talpur listened to comprehensive opinions and suggestions provided by the AJK leadership regarding reinforcing the party’s organization and broadening its political reach throughout the region. Additionally, discussions focused on ideas meant to boost the PPP's local involvement and gather backing prior to the electoral process.

Participants further discussed the party’s upcoming political plan and ways to better tackle public issues. The session ended with an agreement to implement a unified approach aimed at increasing community involvement, boosting the party's electoral efforts, and promoting its political goals within Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Previously, President Asif Ali Zardari sent greetings to Canada's Governor General, Louise Arbour, along with the nation's citizens, on their National Day, which takes place every year on July 1.
